We create intentional interiors — calm, functional, and deeply aligned with the people living or working within them.
We plan around your daily routines, storage needs, and how you move through your space — not just how it looks in a layout.
No signature style. Every project is built around your lifestyle and how you want to feel in the space.
We slow down at the start so everything after moves with confidence. No rushed decisions, no expensive mistakes.
We approach every project through comfort, sensory experience, and well-being. A beautiful room should also feel peaceful to be in.
We design with longevity, ADA accessibility and real life in mind — not just for the season, the trend, or the day of the photo shoot.
Materials, construction coordination, cabinetry, renovation planning — we guide you through the full process, not just the pretty parts.
Chanova Design is a boutique interior design studio nestled in the foothills of Sierra Madre, California — surrounded by mountains, nature, and the kind of quiet that reminds you what a space can feel like when it's truly at peace. The name Chanova comes from two words: Chan, meaning calm and mind, and Nova, meaning new energy. Written as 千诺 in Chinese, it's a name that carries intention and meaning across cultures — and a philosophy that shapes everything we create.
Our work is rooted in mindfulness, Feng Shui, and architectural clarity — guided by intention and grounded in place. We are a proudly local, independently owned studio serving clients throughout California.
In January 2025, the Eaton Fire tore through the foothills Zilia calls home. After evacuating for seven days and returning to find over 80 neighboring homes destroyed — while her family's miraculously survived — she knew it was time to stop waiting.
Chanova Design was founded from that moment. From the belief that our spaces are not passive backdrops — they are where we recover, reconnect, and find our footing when the world feels uncertain.
