For clients who want us to manage their interior design project from start to finish.
We handle the design, sourcing, purchasing, contractor coordination, construction oversight, and installation, so you don’t have to manage all the moving pieces yourself.

Our Process
Phase 1: Discover
We start by understanding your goals, needs, lifestyle, and space. We assess the site, meet with relevant trades, and finalize the project scope and contract.
Phase 2: Interior Design
We develop the interior design, including layouts, selections, and key details. We present the proposed direction, manage approvals and purchasing, and keep the project on track.
Phase 3: Deliver
We oversee the renovation and coordinate installation, deliveries, styling, and setup. Once complete, we walk through the space together, resolve any outstanding items, reconcile final costs, and wrap up the project.
Meet the Designer
Zilia Zhou is a California Certified Interior Designer and founder of Chanova Design. With a background in graphic design, interior architecture, real estate, and strategy, she brings both creativity and practicality to her work.
Based in Sierra Madre, Zilia works with clients throughout Pasadena, Los Angeles, and Greater Los Angeles, creating spaces that feel calm, functional, and personal.
Outside of design, she’s a certified yoga teacher and mindfulness practitioner who enjoys exploring Los Angeles coffee shops and restaurants.

Yes. We offer virtual consultations when appropriate, but we often recommend meeting in person. Being in your space helps us understand how you actually live and work in it.
Where do you offer interior design services?
Our office is in Sierra Madre and work with clients throughout Pasadena, Los Angeles, and Greater Los Angeles. We also take on projects throughout California and offer virtual services when appropriate.
Do you work outside of California?
Yes. We can travel for projects outside of California, with travel fees applying.
Do you work with general contractors and builders?
Yes. We collaborate with general contractors, builders, architects, and other project professionals throughout the design and construction process.
What is the difference between a consultation and full-service design?
A consultation gives you professional design direction and a clear plan to move forward with. Full-services design includes design, purchasing, contractor coordination, construction administration, and installation.
How long does a full renovation project usually take?
Every project is different. Timelines depend on the scope and complexity of the renovation. We’ll provide a realistic timeline once we understand your project.
How involved do I need to be during construction?
As involved as you want to be. We manage coordination and keep you informed at key milestones, so you don’t have to manage every detail yourself.
What if I want to make changes during construction?
Changes happen. We’ll explain the impact on your budget and timeline and help you decide how to move forward.
